A recent study of the 50 Unhealthiest Breakfasts reports that Granny's Country Omelet, served up by Perkins Restaurants heads the list. This blockbuster, which is accompanied by hash browns and three pancakes, tops out at a staggering 2,060 calories, coupled with 23 grams of saturated fat, 6,050 milligrams of Sodium and 276 carbs. Eddy Chavey, perhaps better known as Mr. Breakfast, says, "You’re going to end up feeling sluggish and considering all the options out there, including many of the fast food options, it’s a real shame when people go for these high calorie meals, and especially the saturated fat.” Perkins Family Restaurants and Bakery are the least-healthy breakfast venues. The study limited restaurant chans to five meals. Otherwise, Perkins would have captured 18 of the top 20 spots, with too many offerings rich in calories and saturated fat.
